Thursday August 3rd 6pm
The exhibit is titled “100 Days of Us” and features some of the photos from a project that Martha recently completed.
Martha describes the project as capturing her life as a stay at home mom in the last 100 days of her pregnancy with her second child. “This project was inspired by the conflicting feelings that accompany such a big change and the desire to find beauty in the transition,” Martha explains, and her goal in making this project was to “get in the frame with her daughter every day, in a series of self-portraits that portray how they spent their days.”
Martha is a lifestyle family photographer who describes her work as being “inspired by raw, authentic, everyday family life… pictures not just for you to enjoy, but also to preserve and bear witness to your life as it is today.” Martha’s exhibit at the library does exactly that – commemorating her life and how it really was during this period of her life.
The exhibit will be up through the month of August and available to view during regular library hours. For more information about Martha check out her blog: www.marthaduffyphotography.blogspot.com or follow her on Facebook and Instagram at marthaduffyphotos.
