Wednesdays// Spring Series
March 15, 22nd, and 29th, and April 5th, 12th, and 19th
The babies and their caregivers gather to sing songs, chant nursery rhymes, read board books and enjoy lap bounces. Babies from birth and beyond are welcome—only when children begin crawling or walking away have they outgrown baby storytime!
Storytime is offered in blocks with 2-3 week breaks in between.
Please note, we do not have a strict age requirement, as all children’s attention spans vary. Questions? Call Children’s Librarian Lisa Bearce at 924.8040.
Storytime is more than just developing a love of stories. By attending, children become more comfortable and excited about visiting the library. We encourage early reading habits for the whole family and strive to give parents the tools they need to help their children learn and discover. We also stress the importance of fine motor skills and physical development. Crafts, manipulative toys, and movement are integrated into our curriculum. For our winter ‘be an animal’ session we will read a variety of stories each week in addition to focusing on different animals each week. We invite all families to join us while we ‘Talk, Read, Sing and Play—Every Day!’
