Dr. Lori Hassinger Baldwin

Dr. Baldwin is a veterinarian specializing in cats, dogs, and small mammals at the Hillsboro County Veterinary Hospital. She has worked with rescue dogs and police dogs and, since 2013, she’s been a trailside vet at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in Alaska. In this talk, she’ll share some stories from her life’s work.

Celebrate Women’s History Month with a series highlighting women scientists! According to The Status of Women in New Hampshire – a report issued by the Institute on Women’s Policy Research in 2015 – only 24.6% of those working in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields are women. Come find out what some of them have been up to and how their work is shaping our understanding of the world.
