The Friends of the Peterborough Town Library is a volunteer organization formed in 1979, to further community awareness of the functions, resources, services and needs of the library, and to foster interaction between our library and the residents of Peterborough.
What do the Friends do?
What do the Volunteers do?
Some Friends are also Library Volunteers. Volunteers assist library staff with shelving, assist with library programs, weed the gardens on library grounds, and do minor cleanup work.
If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Director. If we have a project which matches your interests, we’ll be in touch.
Why join the Friends?
Because your membership can make a real contribution to our library services and facilities, and can make a great library even greater by serving more people in more ways.
Member dues (tax deductible):
Checks should be made payable to the Friends of the Peterborough Town Library.
A handsome booklet, Gifts to the Peterborough Town Library from the Friends of the Library, explains where the Friends’ money goes.
