Stendahl began the working on this series of portraits that could serve as art, biography, and likeness in late 2021.
Stendahl explained “I wanted to create a portrait that adds more information: Who are they? What do they do? Who is important to them? Etc.”
To answer these questions, Stendahl took inspiration from illuminated manuscripts, renaissance portraiture, and her own background in Theatre Arts.
Opening on First Friday, October 7th from 5-7pm, Stendahl’s exhibit, Little Biographies will also be available to view during regular library hours.
