The Library has moved to 1 Jaffrey Road in the Monadnock Community Plaza. We are in Unit 2 next to the Pearl Restaurant.

We are open for Curbside Services and Public Technology. All other services are being offered virtually.

Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:00pm

Public Technology is Available

Computer appointments are available Monday-Friday. Please call the library or email us to reserve a one-hour timeslot. Masks are required and will be provided if you need one. Full details on Public technology can be found here.

Ask a Librarian– We are available!

We are answering the phones M-F from 10am-4pm. Call 924.8040. We are answering emails too at Library @ PeterboroughNH.gov. Whatever it is, we can help point you in the right direction.

Library Cards

We are able to sign people up by phone or email. Simply contact us with your Peterborough address, email address, and phone number and we will give you the card number and instructions on how to get started with the eLibrary.

If you are a nonresident and would like a Peterborough library card, please mail the application fee of $68 to the library. We will contact you with your library card information when it is received.

Books, DVDs, and Audiobooks

We are offering curbside access to the print collection. Full details are here. Please check out the eLibrary to see the full suite of resources available. We offer Libby, Hoopla, RB Digital, Lynda.com, Transparent Language, and more. If you need help with any of the steps to use the eLibrary, please ask! We can help you by phone or send you screenshots or help videos. Let’s figure it out together.

Returns and Renewals

You may return items 24 hours a day 7 days a week to our freestanding book return right out front of the temporary library space.

All items will be quarantined for 72 hours before they checked in. Please don’t be worried if the items remain on your account during the time we need to safely process these returns. PTL is fine free!

Storytime and Kids Resources

We are doing online storytime! Email LBearce @ PeterboroughNH.gov to be added to her list. We will publish the online storytime on our social media and event page on our website.

We do have eBooks for kids! Both Libby/Overdrive and Hoopla offer kids items. Check them out in the eLibrary.

Teens and Tweens

Aimee has set up a virtual hang-out for teens and a monthly book club. Email ALarue @ PeterboroughNH.gov to be added to her newsletter list. You can view the latest teen newsletter here.

Career Help and Employment

Yes we can help you! Email Library @ PeterboroughNH.gov and we will work with you on whatever you need help with— resumes, cover letters, career coaching, unemployment, and other assistance.

WiFi

Yes we have wifi in the parking lot at 1 Jaffrey Road in the Monadnock Plaza. Please park in the lined spaces in front of Unit #2. The network and password are posted on the windows.

Printing

We are still offering print-on-demand services. If you need a document printed, email us (Library @ PeterboroughNH.gov) and we will print it for you. Staff are here intermittently so we will let you know when it might be available.
