At the Peterborough Town Library we introduce children to stories, to each other, and to the world!
Our programs cultivate curiosity, build imaginations, and bolster early literacy skills.
We invite all families to join us in sharing our love of imagination and reading at one of our many storytimes!
All are welcome, contact us to learn more about how we can make sure storytime works for your family.

Babies and their caregivers gather to sing songs, chant nursery rhymes, read board books and enjoy lap bounces. Babies from birth and beyond are welcome— only when they are ready to sit for longer stories have they outgrown baby storytime!
At storytime this group enjoys picturebooks together and simple songs and movement between stories. An easy craft is completed after each storytime. All preschoolers who enjoy sitting and listening to stories, and their caregivers, are welcome (siblings too).
PJ Storytime will take place once a month. We read stories, sing a few songs, and will maybe offer a craft or snack to take home. PJ Storytime is for all ages but best for Preschool through Elementary School aged children.
Our book group for 1st-4th graders! Read a book together as a family and meet once a month to talk about the book, have snacks, and participate in activities like crafts and games. Scroll down for more information!
Our book group for 5th graders and up! We choose one book a month to read and discuss over pizza! Each meeting we act silly, talk books, and did we mention that we eat pizza. New members are always welcome!
Special thanks to the Friends of the Peterborough Town Library and The Toadstool Bookshop for purchasing the Read to Your Bunny books.
