Effective for professionals at every level, those new to the job search, returning to the workforce, and new graduates. Attend the workshop and keep your professional documents up to date and competitive. Even if you are not ready to job search, this is a great opportunity to ready your materials. Registration is not required and this workshop is open to the public. The workshop will be taught by instructor Deb Caplan. Caplan has a background in human resources and is skilled at coaching job-seekers on employment search strategies.
The workshop is first in a series of career and professional development workshops to be hosted quarterly by the library. The schedule includes the following:
Resume Review –Monday, July 30th at 6:30 pm
Mock Interviews – Monday, September 24th at 6:30 pm
Productivity Training – Monday, January 28th at 6:30pm
Public Speaking – Monday, April 29th at 6:30pm
The library offers one-on-one appointments to assist with resume development, interview skills, online job applications, computer skills, and job search strategies. The library also provides ongoing “Tech Tuesday” programming featuring a variety of technology classes. The technology classes vary throughout the year and are helpful for all interested in continuing their technology training.
