Create a Page!//

fileFor the month of November residents of the Monadnock region are invited to make a page for the Peterborough Town Library sketchbook. Supplies are available at the library for anyone who would like to participate. The completed sketchbook will be a part of the Sketchbook Project run by the Brooklyn Art Library in New York City. This community art project allows anyone to participate and create a page for the sketchbook.

The theme of our sketchbook is ‘Home/Peterborough/Where We Live’. More information and supplies are available at the MiniMakers Table in the library to help you create your page.

Those who are interested may also make a page at home and turn it in. It may be no larger than 4.5”x6.5” and we request that you do not use acrylic paint (it makes the pages stick together). Please also write your name on the front or back of the page so you can get credit for your work.

Any pages that are completed and turned in at the Circulation Desk by November 28th will be on display in the Art Corner of the library for the month of December. This is an amazing opportunity for artists of any level to have a piece of their own creation in a show.

Join us at the Peterborough Town Library on Tuesday, December 13th from 6-8pm for a reception for the exhibit. At the reception, we will vote to see which pages will go into the sketchbook that will represent us as part of the Sketchbook Project at the Brooklyn Art Library.

The exhibit will remain up through the month of December and be available to view during regular library hours. After the exhibit the selected pages will be bound and sent into the Sketchbook Project. As part of the 2017 Sketchbook Project our sketchbook will be available online for anyone to view and will be added to the collection at the Brooklyn Art Library.
