Summer Reading Plans Announced!

Home / Adult Programs / Summer Reading Plans Announced!

This year our summer reading theme is also a fact: Libraries ROCK!

What’s Summer Reading all about? Summer Reading prevents the summer slide in learning for people of all ages. It helps kids, parents, and adults stay engaged with their goals by focusing on reading as a community!

When:  Starting June 25th and running for 6 weeks.

Register: Sign up at the library and receive your snazzy
challenge sheet, a book coupon to the Kyes-Sage Used Bookshop, and a cool journal!

How:  Complete the challenge by reading 10 hours over the summer*!
Finish your reading chart and submit it to receive a free book.
Adults can choose between a book or a $5 coupon to Toadstool.
Kids get to pick out a free book at the Ice Cream Social!

*Participants may read to themselves, to someone else or listen to books.

Be a Super Reader!  For every extra three hours that you read, your name will be
entered in a drawing for a $25 coupon to the Toadstool Bookstore.

All are invited to the End of Summer Reading Celebration and Ice Cream Social on August 3rd at 6 pm.
