The Board of Library Trustees are a five member board. Board members are elected to three year terms.



Corinne Chronopoulos

In addition to directing the library, Corinne is co-chair of the Library of the Future Building Committee, and plays an active role on the Peterborough Library Campaign cabinet. She is a member of the Economic Development Authority and deeply invested in the future of the Monadnock Region. Corinne has her Masters in Library Science from Simmons College. Corinne runs a book club on the last Friday of the month and orders fiction for the library.


Mary Hubbard
Assistant Director

Mary’s career has been as broad and varied as a good library collection. She has worked as a researcher at Radio Free Europe (post-CIA association), as a pastry chef, and as a community manager for a small private school, to name just a few occupational adventures. After receiving her Master’s from Boston University, she moved to Seattle. There she has worked for a variety of non-profits helping them create value for their internal and external communities through communications, marketing and organizational design. Mary is excited to return to Peterborough and to join the team at the Peterborough Town Library as Assistant Director.


Linda Tiernan Kepner
Technical Services Librarian

Linda catalogs all the books and materials in the library. She could catalog you. She has been a librarian in Peterborough for over 32 years and has a vast knowledge of our collection and library history. She is also author of more than ten books and enjoys science fiction.


Lisa Bearce
Head of Youth Services

Lisa B.  serves children, parents, tweens, and teens. She is a resource for what to read next to your child and big advocate for early literacy in the home. Lisa works to support the pre-K and primary schools in Peterborough and builds strong connections with teachers. Lisa B.’s favorite author is Louise Erdrich.


Aimee LaRue
Library Assistant- Youth Services

Aimee has been a part of the PTL team since 2016, previously working as a Patron Service Assistant at the front desk. Aimee has a fantastic background working with youth of all ages. She served as an assistant teacher at Harrisville Children’s Center and was the Operations Manager at Andy’s Summer Playhouse for two years.  Aimee is a Peterborough resident, artist, and avid reader. She is very excited to develop a Teen Advisory Board and work with teens!


Ann Harrison
Interlibrary Loan Coordinator

Ann oversees all interlibrary loan requests and overdue procedures. Need a book? Lost a book? Ann will help! Ann is also an avid outdoor traveler and is a great resource for planning your next hike.


Lauren Rettig
Patron Service Assistant

Lauren works at the Help Desk as a Patron Services Assistant. She specializes in digital library services, helping you learn all the library has to offer. Just ask her how!


Dyane Young
Patron Service Assistant

Dyane provides great service on the circulation desk. Dyane specializes in testing our new cookbooks—ask her for her recipe recommendations!

Marcia Patten

Marcia, a Peterborough native, is a retired newspaper editor and reporter. She is a member of the Peterborough Lions Club. She served two terms on the board of the Peterborough Historical Society, chairing the History Committee that was in charge of the most recent town history update, “Our Changing Town.”Marcia also served two terms on the Peterborough Budget Committee.


Karen Struthers

Karen grew up in North Caldwell, New Jersey, moving to New Hampshire to attend Keene State College.  A Peterborough resident since 1995, she currently works in the Sales department at Staff Development for Educators as a Sales Operations Specialist. She brings experience in accounting and customer service to the board. Karen has had the privilege of serving as a trustee for the last 2 years.


Laura Hanson

Laura has a lengthy background in marketing and publishing. As a marketing communication specialist, she worked for 15 years as a vice president at C. C. Stephens & Co. in Peterborough and was a partner and vice president at FirstTracks Marketing Group also in Peterborough. She is a former Board member of the Cornucopia Project, Monadnock Family Services, and the Monadnock Community Early Learning Center.


Jeanie West

Jeanie is a retired teacher and administrator of the ConVal School District. She and her husband Gib (now grandparents to two little girls!) have lived in Peterborough since 1980 where they raised their sons, both of whom are now  living and working in New Hampshire. She and her husband Gib have always felt it is a privilege to live in a place like Peterborough and to be a part of the education of its students, as well as those from the surrounding towns. Jeanie believes serving as a Peterborough Town Library Trustee is an honor, as it provides her an opportunity to continue service to the town.


Ron Bowman

Ron is a Peterborough High School graduate, an Army veteran and past Deputy Chief of the Peterborough Fire and Rescue. Ron and his wife Jane have two grown children and four grandchildren all past or future graduates of Conval School District. Ron is retired from a career in Facility Management and Jane is an independent business owner. They reside in a 217 year old home close to town. Roots seem to be taking hold with all family members living in Our Town.


Debra Caplan

Deb is a human-resources professional. Through her consulting practice, she works with people who have lost their jobs  helping them to organize and conduct their own job search. Deb conducts seminars on job-search related topics.  She holds an undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and a Masters in Library Science from Simmons College.


The Trustees meet the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:00pm, unless otherwise noted on the public bulletin boards of the library and Town House. All meetings are open to the public.

Please note the Board will meet Friday February 1st at 10:15am and Tuesday February 5th at 10:30am for special meetings.
