In partnership with The Thing in the Spring the Peterborough Town Library is showcasing paintings by Rachel Rizzo for the month of June. Her exhibit titled: Glob Waterfall will open with a reception on Wednesday, June 6th at 5pm. Rachel is an artist and organizer in Boston’s DIY art and music community as well as a full time Visual Art Educator at a Boston Public School. Her paintings explore personal mythology and identity, fantasy and escape, the natural world, symbolism and abstraction. Her most recent work looks at the way we interact with images and icons in digital space. All are welcome to come to Rachel’s opening and stay for the concert that will be held at the library beginning at 7pm.
Featuring four musical acts from across New England, the library will have two concert stages, one inside in the historical 1890’s portion of the library and the other outside under the overhang near the parking lot. The concert at the library is free to any Peterborough Town Library cardholder, $10 in advance, and $15 at the door for all non-library cardholders.
