Reception from 5-7pm, Artist Talks beginning at 6pm
The Peterborough Town Library is pleased to announce the second collaborative show of artwork from two local artists in their series titled “In Conversation”. Cheryl Frez Bencivenga and Lornie Rawls will display their paintings together, with an opening reception on First Friday, August 5th from 5-7pm. Bencivenga and Rawls will each be giving a short Artist Talk beginning at 6pm.
Cheryl Frez Bencivenga has been a resident of the Monadnock Region for over 40 years. Bencivenga’s inspiration comes from nature and her intensive study of art and art history in Italy. She uses impressionist colors and paints with acrylic.
Lornie Rawls of Jaffrey is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Rawls’s work features primarily representational landscapes, still lifes, and portraits in varied mediums of gouache, acrylic, and oil. Her palette is vibrant and expressionistic.
Bencivenga’s and Rawls’s paintings will be on display in the Peterborough Town Library’s Community Art Gallery through the end of September. All are welcome to view the artwork during regular library hours.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
