Kyes-Sage Used Book Shop

Quality used books for all ages.
All proceeds benefit the Library.

Kyes-Sage Book Shop will re-open on Thursday, May 7, 2026.  Check out the small book cart in the main library for a smaller selection of used books for sale.

The Friends will be welcoming book donations on Friday April 24th, Saturday April 25th, Friday May 1st and Saturday May 2nd.

To ensure donations meet our criteria (see below) volunteers screen all incoming books, so we ask that books only be brought to the bookshop (and not the Library) during bookshop open hours.

Book Donation Guidelines

We take:
• Adult fiction—but not science fiction, fantasy, or romance
• Biographies
• Histories
• Children’s fiction and non-fiction

We do not take:
• Books that are stained or carry an odor of must, mildew or smoke
• Books with missing front covers, markups, tears, etc.
• Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Magazines
• Abridged versions or condensed books or advance readers’ copies/uncorrected proofs
• Public library discards

The Friends of the Library operate a bookshop located directly next to the Town Library in the historical Kyes-Sage House. The shop sells a broad selection of fiction, biographies, history, and children’s books. We sometimes have older, perhaps collectable, books and welcome book dealers.
