March 13, 20th, 27th, and April 3, 10th, and 17th
The group enjoys picturebooks together and simple songs and movement are offered between stories. A simple craft is completed after each storytime. All preschoolers who enjoy sitting and listening to stories, and their caregivers, are welcome.
Storytime is offered in blocks with 2-3 week breaks in between.
Please note, we do not have a strict age requirement, as all children’s attention spans vary. Questions? Call Children’s Librarian Lisa Bearce at 924.8040.
Storytime is more than just developing a love of stories. By attending, children become more comfortable and excited about visiting the library. We encourage early reading habits for the whole family and strive to give parents the tools they need to help their children learn and discover. We also stress the importance of fine motor skills and physical development. Crafts, manipulative toys, and movement are integrated into our curriculum. For our winter ‘be an animal’ session we will read a variety of stories each week in addition to focusing on different animals each week. We invite all families to join us while we ‘Talk, Read, Sing and Play—Every Day!’
