Join us for fascinating lectures this winter. Each lecture will feature some of the most knowledgeable and intriguing experts working in the NH environmental fields.
The presentation will cover a variety of things that relate to bear management including how bear are managed in New Hampshire, population densities, the importance of hunting as a management tool, why bear are managed at social carrying capacity, and the importance of our proactive human-bear conflict mitigation program.
Presented by Dan Bailey:
Dan Bailey has worked for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department for 5 years, currently serving as the Department’s Bear Biologist. Dan’s main duties include leading New Hampshire’s bear project through sound management practices while also working with a variety of constituencies around the state to help promote coexistence with bears. Dan previously served as the Department’s Wildlife Damage Biologist, with a major focus on human wildlife conflict avoidance and wildlife damage mitigation.
This is the final lecture in the Natural NH winter series. Join us in winter of 2025 for our next series.
These lectures are generously sponsored by anonymous donors. These donors coordinated and produced the events. PTL is very thankful to them for their dedication to providing educational opportunities to our community in the areas of environmentalism and conservation.
