July 12th 6-8pm
Peterborough resident Ben Conant happened upon his recent interest in photography through his work at the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript. His coverage of sporting events turned into a passion for making artwork out of something that might not usually be considered as such. During the month of July, a selection of Conant’s photographs are on view at the Peterborough Town Library.
Conant believes that when sports are played with passion they are every bit as beautiful and meaningful as any other form of art and catching those seconds, those instants, is also an art in itself. His photographs are both incredible depictions of local sporting events and works of art.
Conant is a graduate of ConVal (2000) and is both the Sports and Arts Editor at Monadnock Ledger-Transcript newspaper. For more information about Conant and his artwork visit his website: www.benconantphoto.com.
The public is invited to view Conant’s work during normal library hours in the Art Corner and join the artist for a reception on Tuesday, July 12th from 6-8pm.
