Conversations about Race- Book Group

Home / Events / Conversations about Race- Book Group
June 17, 2019 - June 17, 2019

Monday, June 17th at 6:30 pm

This month we are reading To Kill a Mockingbird and Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee.

On June 14th, the NH Institute of Civics Education will screen To Kill a Mockingbird as part of a multi-year statewide program. It will be followed on June 15th with a panel discussion designed to foster conversations with the public about law, justice and civics.

This program is brought to the library in collaboration with Conval High Teacher Eric Bowman.

This book club was an offshoot of our Conversations about Race program this summer. Over 80 people joined us to hear from African Americans living in our area and learn about their experience. The book club is a way to continue this conversation and continue to explore solutions.
