Online Security for Seniors

October 1st 1:00pm-2:30pm

Online Privacy for Seniors Book Group facilitated by Tim Brezovec and Mary Hubbard In October we will be running a Tech Book group dedicated to enhancing your online security. Each week we will explore different facets of online security as we read through, the AARP’s My Online Privacy for Seniors written by Jason R. Rich. Sign up is for individual sessions. If you do take all four classes, you should end the month with a solid understanding of privacy and how to keep yourself secure online! Each session is run from 1 pm – 2:30 on Tuesdays. Class size is limited, so call the Library soon to register or email me. Copies of the chapters covered will be available at the desk so you don’t have to buy the book.

October 1 – Intro to Security Basics – Chapters 1, 2, 3 For the first class we will follow the book as it looks at some general security tips while you are using a computer online and how to be safe when viewing emails.
