White Line Woodcut demonstration by one of the artists currently featured in our Community Art Gallery.
One of our current Featured Arists, Amy McGregor-Radin will be giving a Demonstration of her process of White Line Woodcuts 11am-1pm.
About the artist:
Amy McGregor-Radin has been creating white line woodcuts, also known as Provincetown prints, since 2002 after being inspired to learn the technique by an exhibit at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her deep connections to Jaffrey and the Monadnock area in general play a big role in her creativity as she is often drawn to a scene, a view of the horizon, or the particular angle of an object. These are the things she enjoys capturing using white line woodcuts as a way of investigating and memorizing them for herself.
About the Exhibition:
In Conversation: Amy McGregor-Radin & Angela Smith, will be on view in the Peterborough Town Library’s Community Art Gallery from Friday, October 6th until Saturday, November 25th and will feature white line woodcuts by Amy McGregor-Radin and ink pen drawings by Angela Smith.
The opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 12th 2023, from 5-7pm. During the reception, both artists will be present to discuss their work.
Additionally, Smith will be giving an Artist Talk on Saturday, November 4th at 11am.
