One of our current Featured Arists, Angela Smith, will be giving a talk about her artmaking process.
About the artist:
Angela Smith has been drawing since she was little. She is a life-long New Englander currently living in Dublin. Drawing is an extension of her love of storytelling, fantasy, and imagination. Working primarily in high contrast monochrome using ink pens, she enjoys working with small details. Her pieces shift between portals expanding onto fantasy worlds, and more focused portraits of solitary characters or elements. Frequent subjects include the changing seasons, favorite animals and flora, dark vignettes, and magical scenes.
About the Exhibition:
In Conversation: Amy McGregor-Radin & Angela Smith, will be on view in the Peterborough Town Library’s Community Art Gallery from Friday, October 6th until Saturday, November 25th and will feature white line woodcuts by Amy McGregor-Radin and ink pen drawings by Angela Smith.
The opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 12th 2023, from 5-7pm. During the reception, both artists will be present to discuss their work.
Peterborough Town Library, located downtown at the corner of Main and Concord/Rt 202, has a large meeting room, study rooms, classroom, and a board room available to the public.
